The Western Rebels captured the U16 AAA Monctonian Challenge title with a 4-1 victory over the HC Kings.

The Kings took an early lead with a goal from Mason Cole just 1:29 into the first period. However, the Rebels quickly answered as Ellis Callaghan netted the tying goal less than five minutes later. The momentum swung fully in the Rebels' favor during the second period when Callaghan struck again at the 14:28 mark to give Western a 2-1 lead. The Rebels extended their lead in the third period with a power-play goal from Tobin MacEwen and sealed the win with an empty-net goal by Brady Allison in the final minute, completing the 4-1 final score. Callaghan, MacEwen, and Allison all contributed two points in the championship effort.
